Thanksgiving...

This Thanksgiving was not the traditional Thanksgiving, but was still enjoyable. Thanksgiving Break was so realaxing and I am glad that I had the chance to go home for a week! On Wednesday we went up to the cabin to celebrate Thanksgiving. On Thursday, the Bartley's joined us up there. I wish more of the family could have been there to celebrate with us, but there comes a time for change in our lives! It was a different setting, but it still felt the same becuase we got to clean the turkey and stuff it with homemade stuffing...mmmmm! We also made homemade mashed potatoes, vegetable medley, gravy, cornbread, cranberry muffins, and even the never-ending Banana Creme Pie! Auntie Michelle came well prepared with aprons from Great-grandma Sienko. It was fun becuase she hand-made all the aprons and they will make memories last forever!

Crushing the graham crackers for the pie crust!

Making banana creme pie and brownies.

Dad carving the TURKEY...his usual job!

Thanksgiving table getup!

THE FEAST! I think we had more food on the table when we finished than we did when we started.

All of us...what a great meal!
Working on the puzzle. We did a lot of fun different things throughout the 24 hours!

I pretended to be a manicurist.

Travis and his PAL!

The guys enjoyed a game of pool while the ladies slaved away in the house.

More brownie baking...I think!

Dipping pretzels in almond bark. We make such a great team!

Peanut-buttering the ritz crackers...the tidious work!

Mom was quite the cook this week. She made so many types of cookies from recipes she got from ladies at work, recipes from TV shows, and family passed on recipes...Here she is making Nut Goodie bars!

The piles of cookies on the table. Peanut blossoms and Ritz!

Me looking like I am helping Travis cut down the tree. These pictures are always so posed! It only took us about a skip and a hop to find our tree this year! And then we had to get one for the Loefflers and we decided to get them the 20ft Griswold tree...well not really...but close!

Travis sawing the tree!

Wrapping the tree!

Our LOVELY family. You all are the best. I couldn't have imagined growing up with any differetn family. Thank you for all the great memories and I can't wait to continue on traditions like this is future years. Thanks for always being so supportive and loving!
