Seven years ago today is a day that I will never forget. I left my home, off to another day of classes at Osseo Junior High, knowing that my mom was undergoing surgery. The thing I didn't know was the news I learned on the next day. The surgery was successful and one of the best things that was done for my mom... The surgeon found multiple tumors, all of which were cancerous. The news was tough and unbearable, but I knew right away that God would never put someone through something he knows they wouldn't work hard to push through. The positive attitude that came from family and friends was a great influence on my mom in addition to her strong will to push through. The next six months were rough for everyone; Six months of chemo, hair loss, multiple surgeries, and hospital time... but we all made it through with our love and support.
Please take the time to listen to the song on the link below. I heard it in the car last week and absolutely found it fitting (but sad)!
