February Break!

Well, I am currently sitting at home on my February break... As much as I wish I were in Texas for my break, I opted to by the self-tanning lotion for $5 versus a $400 airplane ticket! Maybe next year Grandpa! I start classes again next Monday.

While I am home I plan on visiting friends and family, catching up on the past six weeks! I am also ending my break out at Stout for the weekend! My friend Chelsea and I are going out to hang out with Travis and watch him stunt at the last basketball game.

The past few weeks have been up and down with emotions after the break-up, but I am slowly feeling better. I have been preoccupoed with all my classes as I struggle with a few and constantly do homework. I try to put a little fun into my life, so almost every night I take the chance to play some ping pong and pool with friends...my skills are slowly improving! Maybe by the end of the year I will be a pro! Speaking of the end of the school year...that is coming sooner than I think. I am going to try and be more consistant with my blogging becuase I know this will be so interesting to come back and read in the future.

A couple weekends ago, I went to Battle of the Bands at school and had an evening of fun. That is one of those events where I would go with Alex, but I told myself that I would enjoy the night...for myself! And I did! I have had the chance to spend more time with other friends from my dorm and devote more time to homework.

Just before break, I also pledged to join the Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity. I, as well as my dad, have been questioned as to why it is a fraternity. Isn't a fraternity for MEN? The answer is, is that a fraternity is the "original" founder, the sorority is formed under a fraternity, so since Sigma Alpha Iota was the original founder, we are therefore a women's fraternity. I will start classes to learn all about the fraternity and then take a national exam. Yes this is a big deal! I will also get the opportunity to meet with my Big Sister, as well as all the other sisters in the frat. I am so excited to be a part of this group who shares the love of music and helping others!

Well that is about it for now...I will keep you all posted on big events taht happen...but currently my life consists of school and HOMEWORK!
