First, I started out my weekend by going out to Stout on Friday afternoon until Saturday. Ashley was taking placement tests for Eau Claire, so we thought it would be perfect for me to meet halfway and get to see her. My bestie, Chelsea, came along for the ride as well. It was alot of fun to gossip and share stories about our boy issues. We literally just vegged out for the night...something we all needed!
On Saturday, our school hosted their annual Taylor Richmond Benefit Dance. Each year the proceeds go toward a different family that have a disabled child and are in need of finacial support. I wasn't planning on going for the longest time and had originally planned to stay at Stout ALL weekend, but I am so glad I decided to go. I also didn't want to go without a date...or at least someone to dance with, so I convinced Chelsea to go with me. Then my friend Ben Lude said that if he decided to go to the dance, he would take me (not to mention...he is my ex's roomate...but a blast to hang out with)! So then we were on a mission to find a date for Chelsea. So eventually we both found guys to go with, but it was more of a money saver than a date becuase you get a "couple rate" if you buy the tickets together. Despite that idea, I still danced with Ben almost all night and had a great time....Chelsea and I shared a few dances to. I never realized how crazy I can be on the dance floor. There was a live band that is very well known, the Johnny Holman Band, and I didn't expect them to play the variety of music that they did. I was expecting oldies, but they played and sang some oldies as well as very modern "bump-and-grind" music =) They were very interactive with the students becuase they would pull people up on stage to sing along or jsut dance in front of everyone. OH WHAT A NIGHT!
It was also alot of fun just to get dressed up and do our hair. It was literally a cross between Prom and Formal. Everyone looked so beautiful and the guys were smokin' hot! Here are a bunch of pictures we took that night...Beware there are alot of goofy ones of Chelsea and me!
All ready to go!
Some floor mates before we left for the dance. The two girls in the middle, Katie and Jess, will be two of my roomates next year. Don't we all look so pretty!
Of course, Chels and I can't pass up on the crazy pictures. The guy in the doorway was Karen's date for the night!
Scandelous!
Chels, Karen and I
Me, Taylor, and Chels
Me and Tay
Ben and Luke....this was a catastrophe in and of itself. We got over there and the boys were still not all ready and things didn't match, and after a little re-vamping...we made due!
My date! He be lookin' so fly in these stunna shades!
Our sweet tats!
From the back...we curled each other's hair and then I put mine up in the broach!
Tall Steve was back for the weekend. He is so much FUN!
We love each other...
Now my turn to kiss her...we couldn't stop laughing!
Chelsea and Luke...
Well now that I finally got this all posted...I thought I would give you a little overview of this week...another CRAZY one! So much to do...So little time (isn't that always the case)! Anyway, last night I registered for classes next year and tonight I am going to a housing meeting to learn about housing registration...YEAH! I also have some big assignments and tests this week that I jsut want to get out of the way before SPRING BREAK! My biggest exam this week will be the National Exam that I have to pass in order to be in the fraternity...so much to remember...and only two days until the exam...argh. After this week is done I can breath...that is until I come back and have 12 days of classes to fix any grade I am not happy with.
Oh, and I thought I would add a link for you all to check out. My mom and I made the school newspaper for Relay for Life and it is also on a blog, so here is the link to check that out http://cardinal-smumn.blogspot.com/2009/03/event-raises-cancer-awareness.html
I was so excited to be in the paper so I thought you would like to read about the event that many of you donated toward!
Well that is it for now...back to the studying!
