My roomate Amanda is super awesome! We have the greatest room ever and have so many people commenting on either the kick-ass bathroom(becuase my dad built us extra shelving -THANKS), the fun wall decorations(gratitude of the infamous Dollar Store), or the warm-vanilla sugar aroma that expands into the hallway! Amanda is from Steven's Point and is very similar to me in everyway! I am so excited to start this year with her and we will definitly have lots to do together!
I absolutely love the dorm we are in. For those of you reading who don't know, Amanda and I share a common bathroom with the two girls next door, so we made our bathroom all cute and girly! Not only that, but we have BOYS in our dorm! Yeah...and it's not by floor...we are right across the hall from a quad of guys! How exciting...and quite the change from last year!
Moving on, this week has kind of been topsy-turvy...imagine that...so many things have happened in just five days! To start my week, I broke my laptop the night before classes started. Little did I know that our walls repelled the 3M hooks, resulting in all my picture frames crashing off the wall, and one landing right on the mouse buttons on my laptop! SWEET! Anyway, I called Dell and talking with a rep that barely spoke English and determined that a technician would come out and fix my computer since it was covered under warrenty...it was just a matter of time! In the end, a technician came out and put a whole new face plate on and tightened the hinges...man maybe next time I should just "accidently" run over my car and get a whole new one...NOT!
Did I forget to mention that my parents are out of town in Alaska? Yes...I did! With that said, the people I confide in the most are not even home so I can call and talk to them...so thanks to trusty Auntie Michelle, she has been checking on me everyday and I really appreciate that! I have had the chance to talk to them when they have stopped in ports and were on land with service. I miss them so much...only 3 more days until I have UNLIMITED PHONE ACCESS with them.
Another thing I am adjustin to is having a 7:45AM class EVERYDAY! Man that is rough especially when I go to bed at midnight or later due to all the homework I have. This semester is definitly going to kick me in the butt becuase I technically have nineteen credits, work, participate in the music frat, and try to make time for friends. To be completely honest, I haven't done much with people becuase I am constantly doing homework and trying to stay on top of everything! Classes are a lot harder than expected, but I am hoping it is just the first feew weeks until I adjust into a routine! Noting that...today marked another bad start to my day...I woke up at 7:51AM...yes that means I was late for class...and this year it is not just a walk down the hall...it is across campus! Yikes...butI figured I might as well be 15 minutes late than not go at all! Then when I was walking back to the dorm I realized I was locked out because I either left my keys in my room...or in the class I was late for! Luckily I left in such a hurry that I had left them on my desk!
Well I think that is enough mishaps for the week...LET THE WEEKEND BEGIN! I will keep posting on little stories that have happened throughout the week, but I htink this is enough for now!
Here are som pictures from move-in. I will post more pictures this weekend of my decorated room and roomate!

Just chillin talking with Amanda!

Organizing my closet with the help of my dad!

I think I was overly excited with how somethin looked...I don't know though!

Well as for the weekend, I have no plans. It looks like it might be rainy, so Amanda and I are thinking of going garage sale-ing for coffee tables...but that is about it! Haope you all have a great weekend and I will post soon!
