Summer Nights

As I sit here blogging for the first time in months I feel a little bitter sweet. This summer has been different than most, but I was willing to step outside my box! I can't believe that I am already packing to start my second year at St. Mary's. It seems like just yesterday I was nervous about leaving home for the first time, and now I "claim" to be super excited, but there is a piece of me that is going to miss home. It has been so great to be living at home this summer with my parents. You don't know what you have until it doesn't surround you everyday. An unknown author once wrote, "Missing someone gets easier every day because even though it's one day further from the last time you saw each other, it's one day closer to the next time you will." I am so grateful to you Mom and Dad for putting up with me, I know it can be challenging at times. As I mentioned before, this summer has been different with working full time and taking nine summer credits. It was not easy, but somehow I managed. Thank you for all your support Mom and Dad it means everything to me.

I often found myself doing homework this summer wishing I were with my friends, but somehow I managed to remind myself that this summer will definitly pay off in the future! Regardless, my friends are very important to me and I have got to spend time with them alot these past few weeks. From movies in the park, to bonfires, to dinner, to just simply hanging out, I have enjoyed every moment I have got to see them! Friends hold a special place in my heart that sometimes even family can't fill.

Just like normal, I spent lots of time at the cabin this summer enjoying the beautiful weather and time with the family, but I usually found myself up at the Junction using wireless becuase I had an assignment or quiz due! Man, school is tough...I'd like to think I have been taking classes
yearround...oh wait, I technically have!

So in between managing classes, family, and friends, I did find myself in never-ending "love" (or as I like to say "crush") circles, but not necessarily on my end. I was overwhelmed with the number of guys that wanted to take me out on dates this summer (not to sound conceded), but unfortunatly time didn't allow. They few that I went on were fun, but I have decided to stop looking for guys and just see what comes of it. The right guy is out there, it is just a matter of time...and I have all the time in the world!

Enough of the jibber-jabber, sappy, pathetic blog...here are some pictures from this summer so you all know that I am alive and still posting!

This summer again we hosted Lorie Line at the Osseo Bandshell. With her best performance yet, we had over 700 people in attendance. It was a perfect evening and I think I am going to have to start training someone in so they can run the show for years to come. It is hard work, and sad to see it all done when so much time and effort went into it!

A portion of the chairs and the bandshell with Lorie's piano!

Here is Lorie playing at the beginning of the concert!

Disreard how I look here...it was a long HOT night...but I thought I should have a pic of me on here!

The folling pictures are of family and friends throughout the summer:

Here is the Loeffler cousins with the "L" sign for Loeffler

At the cabin for the pontoon parade - Ashley, Allie, me and Cassie

Party like a Rockstar...I learn from the best!

My better half (or should I say my inseparable cousin)! So many good times Ash, I hope you have a blast in college. I am going to miss you tons, but I know you will succeed in all that you do!

Enjoying time on the lake!

Me and my best friend Liz and David!

The whole clan! You guys sure make my summer while I am home! I will miss you all sooooo much, until next time! Have a great senior year everyone!
LASTLY, I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT I AM UP AND BLOGGING! This next semester is going to be tough, but I will again keep you posted with the latest all year so that you don't miss me too much while I am away. Watch for pictures and fun things I do this year...it will be a blast!
As far as my schedule goes, I am taking 19 credits: LCT (required yearly class), Catholic Doctrine, Calculus 3, Advanced Math Foundations, Spanish Phonetics, Advanced Spanish Conversation, and Choir. Not only will I be busy with class and homework, I will have the job in the math department teaching class on the two days the teacher doesn't teach! On top of that I plan to teach religious ed again, volunteer at Sunday mass as a eucaristic minister, and head the social chair of the womans frat SAI! Additionally, I am going to try and be a college student and have a little fun while I'm at it!
Happy reading! Be watching for current posts!
Love, Heidi
