This past month has been lots of crazy fun times and lots of discerning where I am at in life and who is a part of my life. For over a month I have been hanging out with an amazing guy (whom I am now officially dating), but it took us awhile because we wanted to be sure that we were starting a relationship for the right reasons and because we wanted to get to know each other more. If all goes well, I'm sure I will have lots to share when I come home for Thanksgiving break!
I will just start going through my pictures and hopefully give little synopsis of what I have been up to!
A couple weekends ago I went out to Eau Claire to visit Ashley. It was alot of fun to get off campus and visit her since our time is precious now that we are both in college. It was fun to tour her campus and see where she lives! I hope to make another trip out there sometime soon so we can spend more time together. While out there I got to visit my two best friends from high school at their house and just catch up on how this year is going. One doesn't realize how fortunate people are until they don't have a constant reminder of them everyday!
After spending a night at Ashley's, she and I drove to Stout for the day and met up with my mom and Travis. We had a great afternoon of just relaxing, catching up, and walking around campus. Here are some pictures that we tried to take while we were out there!

Always have to have one with the "stunna shades!"
On November 22, the Quad-mates and I drove out to LaCrosse to see the country star Jason Aldeen. This was a great bonding experience for the four of us and it was fun to do something different! I hadn't been to a concert in quite some time, so it was a fun and inexpensive change to the norm!

Jason doing his thing. What an awesome LIVE performance!

Me and the roomie Amanda in the car!

The four of us... Amanda, Heidi, Katie, and Jess!

At the concert! We had to get tons of roomie pics to decorate our room with!

After getting all dressed up in our Country Attire!

We met up with our friend Dana from St. Mary's
As a part of the Frat, I am the Social Chair, so we are trying to get out and do more fun stuff. Here is a picture from dinner at Olive Garden. We are only half of us, but again it is fun to get off campus and just be ourselves without worrying about official business. Since then we have also had a nail painting night and dinner at our local Mexican restaurant. I am so excited because the weekend before Thanksgiving I have organized a formal dinner and dance for the sisters and guests!

Speaking of Formal Dances, over October break I was invited to be the date for my friend Rich who is a brother in the Phi Mu Alpha guys fraternity. The dance was a blast and so exciting to be invited as his uest. There was lots of food and dancing to make for a very enjoyable evening!
Most recently, for Halloween, my friend Katie and I made dinner for our boyfriends since they just happen to live together. We made this really awesome back pasta with five kinds of cheese and meat sauce. We also made homemade beer bread from scratch which was amazing!
Here is our table setting. JT wanted to put candles out to make it official, but those are not allowed due to fire hazards!
Here is the other three enjoying dinner...it was too hard to take a picture with all of us in it! JT is on the left and then Katie in the middle and Gary on the right!
After dinner we went on the walk of horror. This was where the school made a trail through the forests with lots of scary music and sounds in the dark. It was super scary and I definitely lost my voice after that one! The boys got a kick out of it though and said that our screaming made it all the better! After the walk we went back to the guys place and made frosted sugar cookies and finished our night with a scary movie. What a perfect and safe Halloween evening. So relaxing and enjoyable!
Besides all the pictures, classes remain tough as usual. I am engaging myself more in the religious life with the help of JT. I now go to daily mass every MWF in town at the Cathedral. I have always wanted to go on campus but the time always conflicts with classes, so yes I am out of my dorm at 6:30AM...crazy, I know! I also go to adoration about two times a week and have been going to confession at our weekly adoration here on campus. Being more involved with my faith is something that I have striven for, but often I find myself hanging out with people who do not share similar beliefs, which makes it more difficult. I also registered to the national FOCUS conference from Dec 30-Jan 3 in Orlando, Florida. This is a conference where 6,000 - 8,000 Catholic college students gather to learn and grow more in their faith. I have been referred by many to go, so I just couldn't pass up the opportunity.
These past few weeks after break have been stressful as well because my friend Katie from the above picture asked me to accompany her for our Blue Angel Variety Show this weekend! After strenuous rehearsing, we auditioned a few weeks ago and were accepted to be a part of the show. Not only are we a part, we are helping close the show because they liked us so well. I can't really take much credit because she is the one singing and I am just playing piano, but many have said, she needs me to succeed. With that said, this week is going to be ridiculous because we have rehearsals tomorrow through Thursday starting at 8PM and going until after midnight. This weekend wee have an 8PM show on Friday night and two shows at 7PM and 10PM on Saturday night. It will be a busy week and I guarantee I will sleep most of the day on Sunday.
That is about it for now! I hope that is enough fill on me for now...I know you can only handle soooo much at one time.
Until next time...
